The journey, not the destination...

I'm sure you've heard people say that the journey is most times more important than the destination. Have you ever taken a dead-end road on purpose? Did you take it knowing that it was a dead-en? Did you do it because of the journey? I can already hear the "oh, but you should take the one that is NOT an obvious dead-end AND seems like a worthy journey"... :) Come on, someone amuse me.

I have taken a physical road down a dead end knowing it was a dead end and I enjoyed the journey. Sometimes its whats at the end of the dead end that's worth the effort. :-)

In a philisophical sense I have taken a dead end road knowing that it was a dead end and that there was no good to come of it except for the opportunity to love and to feel alive. This does not mean however that the end of the road was any less painful.
